Since the 2013 release of the first Adidas BOOST shoe
known as the “EnergyBOOST”, the demand for Adidas sneakers has been mercurial.

Adidas worked with the chemical giant BASF to create the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material that compresses under pressure and instantly returns to its original form.

This material is more temperature resistant than anything on the market and is effective at creating high energy returns for runners.

The first boost sneaker (EnergyBOOST) was fitted with an elastic polyurethane upper to compliment the midsole.

It was the introduction of PureBOOST that took the brand further because of its functional characteristics and style.
